BATHGATE ELEMENTARY

 

Welcome to Bathgate Elementary School! It is with great excitement and gratitude that I introduce myself as your new principal for the 2026-2027 school year. I am truly honored to join this exceptional school community and look forward to partnering with you as we continue Bathgate's tradition of academic excellence, strong relationships, and a caring school culture.

This year marks my 27th year serving students, families, and staff in the Capistrano Unified School District. My educational journey began as a fifth grade teacher at Marian Bergeson Elementary School, where I had the privilege of teaching for 11 wonderful years. I then served for four years as a Teacher on Special Assignment in the District Office, supporting schools and educators throughout CUSD. Most recently, I spent the past 11 years as principal of Las Flores Elementary School and Las Flores TK-8 School. Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief that the most successful schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations, and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive.

As I begin this new chapter at Bathgate, I am inspired by the school's outstanding reputation and the pride that students, staff, and families have in their community. Bathgate has long been known for providing a safe, supportive, and rigorous learning environment where students are encouraged to reach their full potential. I am excited to build upon that strong foundation while honoring the traditions that make Bathgate such a special place.

At Bathgate, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, known, challenged, and celebrated. Together, we will continue to foster curiosity, resilience, kindness, and a love of learning while preparing students with the knowledge and character they need to succeed in an ever-changing world. Our partnership with families is essential, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure every student has an exceptional educational experience.

Whether you are a returning family or joining Bathgate for the first time, know that you are an important part of our school community. My door is always open, and I encourage you to stay involved, ask questions, share ideas, and celebrate the many accomplishments of our students.
